There can be different tasks and different activities that take place inside an organisation. These tasks and activities can be associated with major shipments and sales orders as well as manufacturing. Hence, the organisations always prefer to create projects for such important activities while assigning employees. Tactic introduces the project feature in it so that the users do not have to use any other project management software only for the purpose of managing project. The project module of Tactic can be termed as one of the most important modules. This module possess a number of purpose, which include following leads and opportunities, managing projects and tasks, keeping a track of time that has been consumed during the execution of a specific project.

The users will also be able to assign participants. The status if the projects can be updated and changed as per the progress of the project.
Different set-up options for project module
Parameters of projects
Following leads and opportunities
The projects can be associated with a third-party and the status of commercial proposals and vendor proposals can be managed easily though the project module. Hence, the projects module can be used to follow leads and opportunities without facing much complexity.
Following tasks and times
Projects can be divided into different tasks, for enhancing every step of the project while finally leading it towards the path of success. Hence, the project module of Tactic provide the users with an opportunity of managing tasks and time from the option of Time spent.
Numbered projects
Projects are numbered automatically to decrease the manual efforts of the users and admins. However, the users will be easily able to change the numbering systems of Tactic, while defining their own numbering systems for enhancing users’ experience.
Numbered tasks
This functionality is the same as numbered project functionality. The tasks are numbered automatically as well. However, the users can use their own numbering template.
Project and task report documents
Documents for project and task reports can easily be generated with the assistance of the OpenDocument templates. It helps the users in generating the reports without having to use any third party application and without having to complicate the entire process.
Auto completion
In Tactic, the opportunities and the leads are automatically completed upon closure of the proposals. This helps the users in maintain large amount of leads and opportunities, linked with proposals, while eliminating manual efforts.
While documenting the project of a third party the users will be able to choose any projects, linked to other third parties. Miscellaneous attributes
Both projects and tasks can have some extra fields, which are called the complimentary attributes.
Dictionaries
The dictionary module can be helpful in customising the project, lead/opportunity area for better and more personalised uses. Upon going to Setup menu and choosing the option of Dictionary, the users can easily customise the fields of projects, such as Contact or Address types. There can be different organisations associated with different types of businesses. Hence, customising the dictionaries can be helpful or the organisations in associating the ERP & CRM software with their work even more accurately.
Permissions
Permissions for project module can be modified by the users as per the project requirements. The primary permission settings associated with project module are:
- Permission of reading project and tasks
- Permission of entering consuming time
- Creating and modifying the projects and tasks
- Exporting projects into a third party application
- Deleting projects and tasks
- Changing status of the projects and tasks
Workflow of a project
The three stages of the project workflow are, draft status, open status and closed status. Draft status is projected when a project is just created, however, no further development has been performed in the project. The open status signifies that the project has been assigned and it is in progress. The closed status signifies that the project has been completed.
