Accounting report generation

Two types of accounting modules are available in Tactic, the simplified accounting module and the double-entry accounting module. The reporting feature is available in both of the modules. The users are only required to activate their preferred accounting module (either simplified accounting or double entry module) and then generate the reports of their preferred period. The process of report generation in Accounting is integrated with two stages, which are the stage of Activation and the stage of Report generation.

Activation stage

It is important to turn on the invoice module before processing with the process of report generation. The steps for activating invoice module are, Home -> Setup -> Modules & Applications -> Accounting simplified or Accounting double-entry module -> Activate

If the preferred module is already activated by default (as Tactic enables one of the two modules by default) you can skip this step and directly go to the report generation procedure.

Report generation stage (Simplified Accounting Module)

Simplified accounting module is designed for micro and small firms, which do not require complicated accounting feature. The users need to follow the following steps for generating reports via this module. Accounting menu -> Reporting -> Choose the suitable option -> Select the month -> Refresh ->The records will be visible

Report generation stage (Double entry Accounting Module)

Double Entry accounting module is designed for performing the complex and complicated accounting activities. Hence, the users can easily generate several types of report with the help of this module. For achieving success regarding this the users need to follow the provided steps, which are, Accounting menu -> Reporting -> Select the submenu as per your requirements (there are a lot of submenus available as per the standard reporting requirements) -> Select the month -> Refresh ->The records will be visible

However, the users can not generate PDF from the accounting report option, this option only helps in showing the records. The users can manually create records from this information easily.

Nevertheless, you can still export the journals into an excel sheet directly by opening the journal list and clicking on the export icon. The excel file will be downloaded automatically via your browser.
