Shipment Module

Introduction

Shipment is one of the most important activity performed by any company in current situation. Placing of order and starting of shipment goes hand in hand, which also decreases quite a lot of effort of the users as well. Therefore, Tactic ERP & CRM software enhances users’ experience by enforcing an advanced shipment module to manage all the shipments within one place. Shipment module helps the users in managing product shipments from sales orders. Within just a few clicks the users will be able to ship their products to the customers without having to face much issues. The quantities that the users need to ship will be visible in the shipment of orders as well.

Installation

There is no need of installing this module, as it is already included within Tactic services.

Setup

For using this module the users need to enable it by using an administrator account. The menu options for activating this module are: Home –> Setup – > Module. The users then need to click on Activate. The modules will be activated after completing this step. The settings icon will be visible at the end of the module box, the users can click in that to access further setup for this module to access the functionalities in a better way.

Creation of shipment

This shipments can be created directly from the sales orders. After validation of sales orders the users can create a shipment by filling all the important criteria elated to the orders. The shipments can be managed from the Product menu. The statistic option can help the users in having a chart view of all the shipments, which can help in analysing the shipping performance of the company.

You can now add online signatures to shipments. For achieving the same, all you need to do is to open the shipment card from home -> products and services -> shipments -> list -> choose the one you need -> scroll down towards the end of the page -> there you will see a box called ‘online signature link’ -> click on the like and let it redirect you to an external interface -> add the signature. Your signature will be recorded in that shipment.

Reopening a shipment

Tactic provides you with the facility of reopening the shipments for your own benefit. The process of reopening a shipment is presented below, Product menu (from the main menu) -> Shipments -> List -> choose the concerned shipment -> Click on the re-open option -> the shipment will be reopened upon completing this.

Life cycle of shipments

Shipments are usually created from sales orders, which has certain steps to be completed effectively. The very first step as usual is Draft, which signifies the nonexistence of the shipment. The second step is validation, which means the shipment is ready to go. The next step is the order being shipped. The last step is closure of the shipment.

The shipping method and the shipping URL are always shown in the shipping list, which is convenient for the users to directly track the shipment without having to open the shipment card.
